Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong understanding of production processes and equipment operation
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality control standards
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
Nice To Haves
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of production workers during the assigned shift, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
- Monitor and maintain production schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to quality standards.
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all shift employees.
- Communicate effectively with other shift leaders and management to report on shift performance, issues, and improvements.
- Implement and oversee training for new hires and ongoing training for existing employees to ensure skill development and safety compliance.
- Address and resolve operational issues, such as equipment malfunctions or workflow disruptions.
- Conduct shift handovers, ensuring that key information is communicated clearly between shifts.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization projects.
