About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 1st Shift based onsite at our Avery Creek, NC manufacturing facility. The hours for this position are 5am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday. In this role, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for creating a setting in which employees become involved, responsible, and self-motivated; providing training, continuous improvement, quality products and services. You will administer organizational policies and support plant objectives and drive the processes in department through the Eaton Business systems. You will assist the Plant Manager/Production Manager in the development of processes to achieve a zero-incident culture, maximize output, maintain machinery, and reduce overall costs and through these improvements exceed the customers’ expectations; making sure that the organization decisions making is based on a process-oriented culture – to ensure the linkage from strategy to actions. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Completed associate's degree or higher from accredited institution by May 2026.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a leadership role (direct or indirectly leading others) within a manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates must currently reside within a 50-mile radius of Avery Creek, NC to be considered. Active-Duty Military are exempt from this geographical limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering field from an accredited institution.
  • A technical, industrial, or manufacturing background along with a working knowledge of electrical products.
  • Previous direct people management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and an awareness of all environmental aspects associated with or located in his/her respective areas.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve the systems in place to maximize quality and production.
  • Schedule and commit the workload to meet all customer needs to the most effective manner.
  • Maintain and improve the quality of the department’s methods/processes.
  • Communicate with the department’s employees on subjects relating to policy problem resolution, department objectives and quality issues.
  • Create and maintain a high level of employee morale.
  • Control and manage overtime, tool, and other budgets within current guidelines.
  • Manage payroll, attendance, performance reviews and other administrative needs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate with other departments in an effective manner.
  • Develop potential candidates for management and professional positions.
  • Promote positive and productive workplace environment that ensures a company represented workforce.
  • Promote plant safety policies and encourage employees to follow sound safety practices; promote zero incident safety culture.
  • Develop and maintain a self-directed work team environment.
  • Support teams in achievement of objectives and commitment.
  • Support Asheville plant sponsored community involvement activities and employee activities.
  • Other duties, projects as assigned.
