About The Position

Price Industries Limited, a leading manufacturer and distributor of air distribution products, is seeking a Production Supervisor for their Winnipeg manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations within assigned departments, focusing on achieving safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets. The supervisor will drive performance, develop team capabilities, and ensure production execution aligns with company objectives. The position involves leading teams in a fast-paced, high-mix production environment and requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, high-mix production environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze production KPIs and drive performance improvement.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage shifting priorities.

  • Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Model and maintain a safe, compliant workplace, enforcing safety policies and promoting hazard awareness.
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions, ensuring equipment is operated safely.
  • Execute daily production plans to meet output and on-time delivery targets, monitoring workflows and capacity.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks that may impact service, adjusting resources and priorities as needed.
  • Drive labor utilization, throughput, and efficiency metrics, monitoring performance data and addressing gaps.
  • Minimize overtime, scrap, downtime, and rework, managing the cost implications of operational decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and work instructions, supporting root cause analysis for non-conformances.
  • Work cross-functionally to implement corrective and preventive actions, reinforcing accountability for workmanship.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production employees, managing attendance, discipline, and employee relations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and open communication.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and lead improvement efforts.
  • Participate in lean initiatives and process optimization activities, encouraging employee involvement with problem-solving.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are properly utilized.
  • Communicate production results, issues, and resource needs.
  • Collaborate with Management, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to meet operational goals.
