Production Supervisor - Lasers (Weekend Shift)
About The Position
The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing the efforts of the warehouse operations staff. This leadership opportunity involves ensuring all work is coordinated, minimizing downtime, reviewing daily personnel needs, and recommending overtime or reductions in hours as needed. The Supervisor will also collaborate with other Supervisors, Inside Sales, and Production Planning departments to determine machine scheduling based on customer delivery dates, material availability, processing requirements, and logical methods of distribution. Working hours are Friday - Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm.
Requirements
- Associate/Bachelor's Degree in related field and/or commensurate experience
- 5+ years in a heavy industrial setting in a supervisory role
- Proven ability to both lead and mentor others
- Experience with CNC Fabrication, Welding and Cutting
- High energy and drive with stellar communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong administrative support and computer skills (Microsoft Suite, ERP Systems)
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels in the company
- Ability to work OT as needed
Nice To Haves
- Steel service-center experience strongly preferred
