This position will supervise 20 – 25 assembly staff at a given time. In addition to supervising direct reports, this position will also work collaboratively with other supervisors during a shift. Requirements

  • Supervise 20-25 assembly staff.

  • Lead and supervise people and assembly activities.
  • Achieve established production goals.
  • Plan operations, utilization of skills and man-hours, material and workflow.
  • Assign work, provide direction, develop a training plan, and assist employees.
  • Ensure consistent use of Safety devices and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Supervise departmental housekeeping.
  • Maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions and practices.
  • Drive Safety ideas and improvements.
  • Monitor and drive Quality measures.
  • Implement continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide information and collaborate with other internal groups.
  • Participate in and coordinate programs related to employee communications, placement, training and development, orientation, quality, etc.
  • Promote positive employee relations through daily, open and direct communications.
  • Ensure conformance with Company policies, practices and work rules related to attendance, performance, etc.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
  • Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise people and assembly activities to achieve established production goals consistent with our 5 performance indicating pillars – People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Plans operations, utilization of skills and man-hours, material and workflow to assure Quality and Delivery metrics are met.
  • Assigns work, provides direction, develops a training plan, and assists employees in the performance of their work.
  • Ensures the consistent use of Safety devices and personal protective equipment (PPE), supervises departmental housekeeping and maintains constant alert for hazardous conditions and practices. Drives Safety ideas and improvements.
  • Monitors and drives Quality measures and implements continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provides information and collaborates with other internal groups to effect cost reduction, work simplification, production scheduling and manpower planning.
  • Participates in and coordinates programs related to employee communications, placement, training and development, orientation, quality, etc.
  • Promotes positive employee relations through daily, open and direct communications.
  • Ensures conformance with Company policies, practices and work rules related to attendance, performance, etc.
