About The Position

This role is responsible for the supervision of assigned employees, ensuring compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and company policies. The Production Supervisor will manage schedules and production to meet customer demands, administer personnel functions including interviewing, selection, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, with a focus on employee development. This position oversees all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping, maintaining thorough knowledge of processes and equipment. The supervisor will anticipate and troubleshoot problems, coordinate with other departments for resolution, and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures. They will also coordinate production efforts with other shifts for smooth transitions and ensure equipment is operational and maintained. Key responsibilities include screening, interviewing, onboarding new hires, conducting performance appraisals, and coaching employees. The role also involves championing Lean/BES measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years’ experience in supervisory capacity
  • Excellent leadership and team skills required.
  • Able to effectively interface at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of processes and machines related to products manufactured within a given business unit
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player approach
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or another related field highly preferred.

  • Ensure that established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.
  • Coordinate production efforts with supervisors on other shifts for smooth transition.
  • Ensure that all equipment is operational and maintained per specifications.
  • Screen, interview, select and onboard new hires, conduct performance appraisals, coach and council employees.
  • Champion BES/lean measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
