About The Position

This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with our quality standards, overseeing production, communicating and enforcing policies and procedures. The assistant supervisor is also responsible to train employees on work instructions.

Requirements

• Self-motivation
• Good judgement and reasoning abilities
• Good communication and people skills
• Ability to drive forklift and pass certification exam
• Basic computer skills
• Occasionally lifting up to 80lbs

Responsibilities

• Provides visible leadership and guidance to all production staff in order to foster continuous improvements and best practices. Maintains continuous engagement with all production employees
• Works with Production Supervisor to establish and deploy standard works for all associates
• Ensures production schedule is met. Lines running at expected rates. Reviews waste and downtimes and takes action to improve results
• Ability to perform all job functions in adherence of Kenny’s Candy and Confections’ philosophy and values
• A full understanding of equipment to adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain lines; coordinate maintenance within the shift.
• Assist in transfer of information between first, second and third shift
• Act as a relief Supervisor covering for vacations or unexpected absences
• Accepts other duties as assigned
