About The Position

FASTSIGNS is seeking a hands-on Production Specialist to fabricate, paint, assemble, and finish signs and graphics. The role combines in-shop production with work outdoors and may involve operating machines such as a laser engraver and Zund cutter, as well as working in a paint booth. The specialist helps produce signs for storefronts, vehicles, walls, and other applications, and collaborates with the team to meet deadlines and customer expectations. This franchise is independently owned and operated; hiring decisions are made by the franchisee.

Requirements

Relevant previous experience in the sign and graphics industry.
Advanced knowledge of sign fabrication tools, including CNC machines.
Advanced knowledge and experience with sign materials, fabrication, finishing methods, and processes.
Advanced knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and general construction techniques.
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to manage workload independently.
Good math, spelling, and measurement skills.
Ability to read and interpret work orders and installation instructions.
Valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to kneel, stand, and lift for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Operate sign fabrication equipment, including a laser engraver, Zund router, laminator, and vinyl cutter.
Prepare substrates, assemble signs, apply pressure-sensitive vinyl, and perform finishing operations.
Prepare and paint various materials.
Load, unload, package, and stage materials for production and installation.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and tools.
Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, and report on equipment and inventory.
Ensure accuracy and quality throughout production and installation.
Follow safety protocols and operate tools and vehicles responsibly.
Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
