Production Specialist (Powder Coat) $1k Sign-On Bonus
About The Position
Terex Utilities is seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Specialist (Powder Coat) to join its 2nd Shift team in Watertown, South Dakota. The role supports production on an automatic conveyor paint line by following the paint schedule, visually inspecting components, and loading parts. The position requires safe work practices, basic mechanical and measurement skills, and the ability to perform detailed, repetitive tasks. Team members may be asked to flex into other areas or departments and perform other duties as assigned. Terex offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus: $500 after six months of employment and $500 after one year. The employee must be active at the time of each payout. The compensation range is $21.00–$22.50 per hour, with pay based on factors including education, work experience, and certifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma and/or equivalent experience.
- Ability to successfully pass a respirator test.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., and 40–100 lbs. with assistance from others or provided lifting equipment.
- Beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to accurately read and understand tape measurements.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong orientation toward safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Ability to function as a team member and contribute to group goals while maintaining a positive attitude.

- Sufficient hand-arm-eye coordination to guide objects into specific placement or alignment, make intricate connections, and make precise measurements.

Responsibilities
- Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures and promote Terex Way Values.
- Follow all safety regulations, keep the work area clean and orderly, and wear appropriate safety attire.
- Follow the paint production schedule to determine which parts to load.
- Visually inspect and load components onto the automatic conveyor paint line.
- Maintain a clean work area and participate in 5S standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in working condition.
- Troubleshoot basic issues and problems.
- Flex into other areas and departments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
