About The Position

The Production Scheduler will forecast, plan, and schedule the production workflow based on customer orders. This role collaborates with Production Supervisors to define priorities, releases products to the appropriate department, and utilizes the company ERP system to create and analyze reports. The scheduler closely monitors job progress from creation to completion, enters inventory information, and analyzes inventory and delivery problems to recommend solutions. A proactive approach to scheduling is expected to identify potential conflicts and minimize errors, while also providing data for forecast estimates and future order needs. The role ensures safety and quality goals are met, with additional duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High school diploma/ GED
  • Must be a forward thinker, self-starter, motivated, and dependable
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong computer skills to include MS Office products; Excel reporting using pivot tables and V-Look up required
  • Prior experience working within an ERP system; SAGE preferred
  • Must be able to read and write reports
  • Must be able to read, interpret, understand and follow instructions, product labels, safety rules, operation and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and schedules
  • Must possess acute observation skills to ensure the safety of those around them
  • Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening skills with the ability to take instructions
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Business Discipline and/or a combination of certification a plus
  • 2 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing operation setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Enters inventory information and confirms physical inventory when needed
  • Analyzes and evaluates inventory and delivery problems recommending solutions
  • Takes a proactive approach to scheduling methodologies to identify potential conflicts throughout the different phases of production in an effort to minimize errors and maximize customer experience
  • Provides data as required to forecast estimates and schedules of goods in process and needs for future orders
  • Ensures safety and quality goals are met
