About The Position

The Production Control Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining effective production schedules to support manufacturing operations and customer delivery commitments. This role collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams to balance capacity, materials, and demand while responding to changes in production conditions. The position plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency, on‑time delivery performance, and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of experience in manufacturing scheduling, production control, or a related role within the HVAC or similar industry, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with cross‑functional teams and leadership.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in planning, tracking, and reporting production activities.
  • Proficiency with standard office tools and the ability to learn additional systems and software as required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to analyze production data, schedules, and operational constraints to support informed decision‑making.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with others to exchange accurate information.
  • Visual and auditory acuity necessary to observe production activities, identify issues, and interact with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains, and adjusts production schedules to support manufacturing plans, customer delivery requirements, and operational priorities.
  • Coordinates with manufacturing, customer support, engineering, and supply teams to ensure accurate scheduling and timely communication of changes or constraints.
  • Monitors production capacity, material availability, and workflow to identify risks to delivery commitments and recommends corrective actions.
  • Provides timely updates to internal stakeholders regarding schedule changes, potential delays, and priority orders.
  • Supports resolution of issues related to material shortages, capacity constraints, variances, or disruptions impacting production flow.
  • Ensures work orders are properly planned, released, tracked, completed, and closed within established timelines.
  • Evaluates production performance data to support continuous improvement in scheduling accuracy and on‑time delivery.
  • Assists with schedule alignment to the overall production plan and responds to changing demand or manufacturing conditions.
  • Collaborates with production teams to implement schedule adjustments as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
