About The Position
This position is responsible for the production operation and will unload and wash all trailers, tankers and reefers, monitor cookers and soap and wash all areas of the plant. Load trucks, maintain the control room and complete accurate paperwork. Check lubrication on machinery, change oil and belts on gear boxes, perform equipment PM and auger inspections. Will assist maintenance when needed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Standing for long periods of time
- Lifting up to 60 pounds
- Shoveling
- Climbing stairs and ladders up to 30 feet
- Bending, stretching, reaching
- Working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
- Mechanical/maintenance skills listed in work history or skills section on application
- Willing to work shift A, B, C, or D
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States
- Pass a urinalysis screening
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities
- Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
- Receive training as required
- Perform various positions as required/assigned
- Unload and wash all trailers, tankers and reefers
- Monitor cookers and soap
- Wash all areas of the plant
- Load trucks
- Maintain the control room
- Complete accurate paperwork
- Check lubrication on machinery
- Change oil and belts on gear boxes
- Perform equipment PM and auger inspections
- Assist maintenance when needed

- Adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
- Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure water hose with 30 pounds of pressure or more
- Obtain certification and operate a forklift or skid-steer loader
- Use basic hand tools
- Perform basic mechanical and maintenance skills such has mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, wiring, motor controls, and conveyor maintenance
- Use basic computer skills
- Read and understand policies, procedures and regulations
- Document information
- Communicate with others written and verbally
