Maintenance Electrician - All Shifts - RVI Scranton AR
About The Position
River Valley Ingredients (RVI) is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their team. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, including AC motor and DC drive systems, and the ability to work with schematics. The electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing electrical systems within the plant, ensuring the overall welfare of the facility. This position involves working with various electrical tools and equipment, and a good knowledge of OSHA, NEC Codes, and Plant Safety Policies is essential. The role also includes operating heavy industrial equipment and performing physical tasks such as climbing and lifting.
Requirements
- Complete understanding and working knowledge of 110, 240, 480-volt AC motor and DC drive system.
- Ability to read and work off schematics.
- Ability to use all electrical hand tools.
- Ability to estimate and design basic electrical systems.
- Good working knowledge of all OSHA, NEC Codes and Plant Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to figure and calculate wire and pipe sizes.
- Ability to line up pipe runs.
- Ability to calculate estimated completion times.
- Ability to perform basic electrical work and use basic electrical tools including a digital multi-meter, wire/unwire 3 phase motors, basic single-phase terminations etc.
- 3 months of industrial maintenance work experience listed on application.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing to work shift A, B, C, or D.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems in the plant.
- Install and replace conduit.
- Perform any other duties to maintain the welfare of the plant.
- Operate heavy industrial equipment such as crane, boom lift, scissor lift, telehandler, forklift.
- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Lift more than 60 lbs.
- Read and understand policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Document information.
- Communicate with others written and verbally.
