About The Position

Monitors dairy plant production processes including milk receiving, separation, standardization, and batching. Ensures adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), maintaining accurate paperwork and verifying critical process parameters. Troubleshoots and resolves operating difficulties, communicating any issues that may affect production efficiency or food safety to management. Follows all safety practices, including confined space guidelines, wearing required personal protective equipment, and ensuring safe chemical handling. Supports continuous improvement by maintaining process and equipment data, operating and cleaning equipment to maximize throughput and minimize downtime, and monitoring key quality indicators like fats, total solids, allergens, and cryoscopes. Completes work assignments by collaborating with managers and coworkers, identifying priorities, and adapting to change. Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Requirements

1 year’s experience in a distribution or production environment (for example, logistics supply chain, dairy plant, food processing, or manufacturing).

Responsibilities

Monitors dairy plant production processes following Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Ensures all paperwork is accurate and verifies charts, including frequency, pen cut, incut/out temperatures, and product recording temperatures.
Troubleshoots and resolves basic to moderate operating difficulties.
Communicates problems or concerns that may restrict production efficiency or food safety to management.
Follows required safety practices, including confined space safety guidelines and wearing required personal protection equipment.
Ensures safe chemical handling and monitors fall restraints.
Maintains sanitation of equipment through CIP and hand cleaning.
Reports safety concerns or issues to leadership.
Supports Continuous Improvement by maintaining process data and equipment performance data.
Operates and cleans equipment to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
Communicates mechanical and operational issues.
Operates equipment at recommended speeds.
Monitors fats, total solids, allergens, and cryoscopes as they associate with processing dairy products.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
Collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
Identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
