About The Position

This position is responsible for managing freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment. The role involves completing work assignments, maintaining organized work areas, and ensuring freight compliance with cold chain and species regulations. The Material Handler will also collaborate with managers and coworkers, identify improvement opportunities, and adapt to changes. Responsibilities

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies data and resources collaborating with managers coworkers customers and other business partners identifying priorities deadlines and expectations carrying out tasks communicating progress and information determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities and adapting to and learning from change difficulties and feedback.
Manages freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment for example single and double pallet jack lift pacer identifying counting separating combining and scanning freight utilizing warehouse management system terminal scales and scanners and maintaining records logs and forms
Complies with company policies procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices
Keeping work area organized and maintaining freight flow by stacking empty pallets and moving empty pallets using a pallet jack and/or powered equipment
Monitoring freight to ensure cold chain and species compliance
