We are seeking a Production Planner Scheduler Manager 1 for the Surface Enhance Capability Program (SECAP) who assist ship's force personnel with conducting maintenance onboard U.S. Naval Vessels. This manager will supervise SECAP technicians conducting troubleshooting and repairs on HM&E systems, specifically valve and pump maintenance for installed systems: Main Drainage, Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF), Counter Measure Washdown (CMWD), and Fire-main systems. Along with conducting maintenance of Auxiliaries equipment to include: HP and LP Air systems, Trash room equipment, Hydraulic equipment, AC&R equipment, and Deck equipment. This is a full-time, salaried position located in San Diego, CA.

Requirements

  • 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Must have mechanical experience troubleshooting and repairing U.S. Navy Ships.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DBIDS (Base Access).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Security Clearance.
  • Ability to manage a team, conduct performance evaluations, and provide technical guidance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer recent SECAP experience as a technician.
  • A current, valid DoD Security Clearance.
  • Prior US Navy experience as a Damage Control or Machinist Mate with Hydraulic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
  • Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
  • Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
