About The Position

Ace Precision is an internationally recognized supplier to the Aerospace, Power Generation, Defense and Space industries. We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our manufacturing team in Oconomowoc, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating products in assigned part class groups to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives. Requirements

  • Associate Degree or equivalent with courses preferably in Business Management, Production Management, or related coursework; 2+ years of related production planning experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of general office systems.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows and Office Applications is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records in the ERP database.
  • Review raw material requirements and coordinate deliveries with purchasing and production to meet delivery requirements while maintaining inventory goals.
  • Review reports, release jobs, and print routings and sketches per applicable work instructions with high accuracy.
  • Review routings and sketches for errors before releasing jobs to the shop floor.
  • Report status of detail, subassembly, and final assembly jobs in production meetings and daily communication to meet on-time delivery goals.
  • Control cost and labor utilization through review of lot sizes and scheduling concepts.
  • Review and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECN) on assigned parts.
  • Assist supervisors in setting the production schedule.
  • Perform routing splits, add rework operations, and other clerical activities to support production and quality.
  • Prepare milestone schedules and production reports to keep key products on track.
  • Review job routings at the closing process to correct discrepancies in yield and follow up on proper documentation of parts with quality rejects.
  • Review, monitor, and drive to minimize setups in returning small lot quantity or rework parts into larger production runs.
  • Track and properly reconcile dormant product to maintain inventory accuracy in the database.
  • Track parts at outside processes and coordinate shipments to facilitate on-time delivery.
  • Serve as contact for any NADCAP, CASE, FAA, customer, internal or other audits when required.
