About The Position

Wangard Partners is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Leasing Consultant to join the team at Locklyn, a luxury apartment community in Oconomowoc. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be one of the first faces prospective residents meet and will play an important role in helping them discover why Locklyn could be their next home. Your responsibilities will range from giving engaging property tours and following up with prospects to preparing leases and welcoming new residents, allowing you to make a difference throughout the entire leasing experience. This role is ideal for someone who is personable, detail-oriented, motivated by sales, and genuinely enjoys working with people.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize wisely
  • Strong sales background
  • Ability to drive and access to a car
  • Knowledge of state law as it relates to fair housing
  • Basic computer and internet knowledge; knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to fluently read and write English
  • Accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions
  • Use all on-site resident management software functions
  • Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance required; position requires own vehicle to fulfill all job's functions.

Nice To Haves

  • One year’s experience in residential property management or related field is preferred
  • Experience in the service industry is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospective tenants, show them units that meet their needs, and showcase the property and its amenities.
  • Complete guest cards, applications, leasing information, and relevant information in Yardi.
  • Assist residents in accessing their portal in Yardi.
  • Maintain resident files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage resident move-ins and move-outs.
  • Maintain calendars and update unit availability daily.
  • Assist in marketing functions including creating flyers, market surveys, and shopping competitive properties.
  • Assist in planning and executing resident events, attending and participating as host as directed by Property Manager.
  • Take photos and video as needed for marketing efforts.
  • Provide phone and administrative support.
  • Actively work to resolve resident complaints, directing to Property Manager or maintenance as needed.
