About The Position

The Production Operator is a member of Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s manufacturing team, performing front-line production processes that add value and quality to inputs and create final products. The role involves learning to transform raw materials into finished products, operating machinery and equipment, and packaging products. The Dairy Foods Evaporator Operator is responsible for effectively operating all three onsite evaporators, process control equipment, pasteurizers, heat exchangers, CIP systems, and handling and storage processes while maintaining high GMP and sanitation standards. The operator follows company and regulatory documentation and record-keeping guidelines. Assistance with training may eventually be required. The role requires comfort with occasional confined-space entry and working at heights. This position is part of the Dairy Food business, which produces dairy products and seeks to improve production and find innovative uses for milk. The role works a 12-hour night shift from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Weekends, overtime, and holidays may be required as needed.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
At least 1 year of work experience in any industry.
Basic computer and math skills.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, and a respectful approach.
Comfort with occasional confined-space entry and working at heights.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of manufacturing work experience.
Machine operation and/or forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Operate all three onsite evaporators, process control equipment, pasteurizers, heat exchangers, CIP systems, and handling and storage processes.
Maintain GMP and sanitation standards.
Follow company and regulatory guidelines for documentation and record keeping.
Comply with safety processes and insist on safe practices from self and others.
Complete assigned tasks on time, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
Multitask and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment.
Follow quality standards and standard operating procedures during production.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with and follow instructions from Leads and Management to accomplish daily assignments.
Assist with training as required eventually.
Perform other duties as assigned.
