About The Position

The Production Operator – Miscellaneous Crew works in the Raw Material Unloading department. The role operates the dunnage machine; unloads and stores raw materials, including paper and glass mat rolls; empties trash hoppers throughout the plant; conducts raw-material inventory counts; and operates mobile equipment. The operator also supports safe, orderly production, troubleshoots minor process issues, and makes machine and process adjustments to keep products within required specifications.

The position is on a rotating day shift, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for 8 hours. The listed pay rate is $27.50 per hour and may be adjusted based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dunnage machine.
• Unload raw-material trucks, including trucks carrying paper and glass mat rolls.
• Stack and store raw materials in the warehouse.
• Empty trash hoppers throughout the plant.
• Operate forklifts, waste trucks, man lifts, and other mobile equipment, and inspect equipment before use.
• Count raw-material inventory.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
• Troubleshoot minor production-process issues.
• Recognize unsafe conditions or hazards in the work area.
• Make machine and process adjustments to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Enter and report data, and create Visual Work Instructions.
