About The Position

The Production Operator completes production process operations according to standard operating procedures, working safely, productively, and to a high-quality standard. Duties may include loading and unloading, inspection, packing, material movement, recording production statistics, and operating or monitoring equipment and processes. The operator also participates in problem-solving activities to help the team meet its goals.

The role supports safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives. This includes following safety standards and identifying improvement opportunities; carrying out and checking standard operations against JM and customer specifications; following standard processes and escalating issues; supporting CAPS implementation using lean tools such as problem solving and 5S; and supporting the training of other Operators while modeling JM Values & Behaviors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work in accordance with procedures and rules.
• Be open to working second shift or third shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety standards and identify opportunities to improve safety.
• Carry out standard operations safely and to a high-quality standard, including loading, unloading, inspecting, and packing.
• Check work quality against JM and customer specifications.
• Follow standard processes to complete tasks and escalate issues for timely resolution.
• Identify and escalate opportunities for improvement.
• Support CAPS implementation using lean tools such as problem solving and 5S.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implementation of best practices.
• Support the training of other Operators.
• Model JM Values & Behaviors.
• Perform duties that may include material movement, recording production statistics, and operating or monitoring equipment and processes.
• Participate in problem-solving activities to help the team meet its goals.
