About The Position

Idaho Forest Group is hiring an entry-level Production Operator in Moyie Springs, Idaho. The role serves as a relief operator across a variety of functions, machinery, and workstations, offering opportunities to learn new skills and advance into a more specialized position. The operator assists with mill cleanup, learns to operate assigned machinery safely and efficiently, and maintains a production-level pace. Starting pay is $24.59 per hour, with a $2.00 per-hour shift differential for swing, graveyard, or weekend shifts and a $500 sign-on incentive.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or willingness to quickly obtain one as a condition of employment.
Must be able to work various shifts and days, and work overtime as requested.
Must be able to move safely and quickly and perform duties with repetitive movement.
Must be able to sit and/or stand for a shift; reach with hands and arms; stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull; maintain balance; bend at the waist; kneel; walk varying distances; and climb stairs.
Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, vibrations, and airborne particles such as sawdust.
Must complete applicable pre-employment screening, which may include a criminal background check, hair follicle drug test, reference check, prior work verification, driving history (MVR), education verification, aptitude/skills testing, and credit checks.

Responsibilities

Serve as a relief operator for a variety of functions, machinery, and workstations.
Assist with mill cleanup.
Comprehend and perform duties in accordance with rules, regulations, and JSAs.
Learn the safe and efficient operation of each assigned machine.
Use motorized equipment to transfer waste to a designated area.
Use hand tools such as a broom, shovel, and rake to clean the work area.
Use an air hose to remove dust and debris from machines.
Maintain a production-level work pace.
