Operates various Packaging and Processing equipment/production lines according to set standards; sets up, runs and adjusts machines and performs sanitation and changeover of equipment. Certification as a Machine Operator in one (1) to three (3) Packaging and/or Processing areas (any combination). Ability to work at both the 391 AND 395 manufacturing facilities in Bloomingdale in Packaging AND Processing. The role involves preparing the work area, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, ensuring availability of materials, operating equipment with troubleshooting and adjustments, conducting quality checks, completing paperwork, reducing downtime, performing operator scheduled maintenance, diagnosing and performing minor machine maintenance, working with maintenance for mechanical issues, submitting daily reports, identifying and submitting suggestions for improvement, and complying with safety, GMP, and SOP/WI requirements. Specific duties vary between the Packaging and Processing areas, including inspecting finished product, stacking, marking, packing, transporting product, examining product for identity and impurities, weighing and mixing ingredients, following batch instructions, recording information, and lifting/placing raw materials. The role also supports a culture of safe production, actively participates in the safety program, adheres to policies, reports incidents, communicates concerns, properly uses PPE, and participates in safety teams.
