Production Operator A

About The Position

The Production Operator A assembles products according to operator and inspection instructions while following safety and quality requirements. The role operates assembly machinery and tools, performs basic equipment maintenance, completes required inspections and checks, and supports production standards and continuous improvement. The operator may work across production areas and assist with other assigned tasks.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED equivalent.
Ability to perform basic math skills.
Basic understanding of the English language.
Ability to comply with company policies and procedures.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to meet production requirements by continuously working at a fast pace.
Ability to stand regularly to operate machinery.

Responsibilities

Follow the Colleague Guide, operator instructions, safety requirements, and company procedures.
Wear appropriate safety equipment and maintain a safe, clean work environment in accordance with 5S, safety, and environmental standards.
Assist with training new colleagues.
Perform SPC inspections, ultrasonic weld testing, and press safety checks as needed.
Operate assembly tools, machinery, and other equipment as instructed.
Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and air tools.
Complete proper machinery start-up and shutdown procedures.
Perform rework as required and consistently meet production standards.
Perform first-offs, last-offs, and hourly checks according to job instructions.
Assist with press and/or production-line setup.
Work as a team member and remain flexible to work in all production areas and perform other assigned tasks.
Ensure the quality of parts produced in accordance with operator instructions.
Follow TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures.
Identify continuous improvement ideas through AIT/RE.
