About The Position

The Production Operations Associate I sets up and operates automated finishing machines used in production, including folders, a Muller, die cutters, cutters, guillotine cutters, and saddle stitchers. The role involves feeding, folding, cutting, and stitching materials; adjusting machine settings; making minor repairs; and pulling, inspecting, and packaging finished products. The schedule is Saturday through Monday and every other Tuesday, from 4:45 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Typically, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Substantial understanding of the job and the ability to apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
Ability to work on routine to moderately difficult assignments, using some judgment to resolve issues or make recommendations.
Ability to work with little instruction on daily tasks and general instructions for newly introduced assignments.

Nice To Haves

Four years of fast production machine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Review job schedules, locate the correct materials and tickets on the finishing floor, and review job specifications before completing finishing work.
Set up assigned finishing machines by loading materials and selecting the required components and configurations.
Operate one or more finishing machines according to specifications to complete assigned jobs.
Evaluate production samples and work in progress for compliance with client specifications and quality checklists, making adjustments or taking other action as needed.
Package finished products in cartons, boxes, or pallets and verify packaging against ticket instructions before routing products for shipment.
Document material usage, scrap, and production time, and enter data into the Monarch database for cost tracking and client billing by cost center.
