About The Position

As a Remittance Processing Associate, you will support accurate and timely processing of customer payments in a lockbox operation. The role involves preparing payments for processing, handling exception items, researching adjustments, and helping maintain remittance processing equipment and supplies. This is an on-site overnight position in Bolingbrook, Illinois, and prior or current lockbox experience is required.

The schedule is Friday night through Monday night, 9:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights off.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior or current lockbox experience.
• Knowledge of remittance and item processing procedures.
• Ability to identify errors in calculations and balances.
• Ability to organize, assemble, and sequence work efficiently.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with computer processing systems and related equipment.
• Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work the required overnight, on-site schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer payments for processing.
• Coordinate setup and maintenance activities for remittance processing equipment.
• Research and process adjustments.
• Process exception items.
• Maintain inventory of remittance processing supplies.
• Prepare outgoing collection notices for clients.
• Verify and distribute processing output.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
