About The Position

The Production Mechanic Line Setter sets up, adjusts, and maintains production equipment to support efficient and safe operations. The role involves working with filling, labeling, and packing equipment in a fast-paced production environment and coordinating with operators and supervisors to address equipment issues. The position is full-time, five days per week (Monday–Friday), from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, at Totowa, New Jersey.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and follow setup instructions, diagrams, or standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and respond to urgent issues.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 10–40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Technical training.
• 1–2 years of experience in a production or mechanical role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust filling, labeling, and packing equipment according to product specifications.
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs during production runs.
• Assist with line changeovers, minimizing downtime and ensuring accurate configuration.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure equipment is operating smoothly and safely.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and workstations.
• Document setup parameters and maintenance activities as required.
