About The Position

Be part of the operations team for our first US aircraft assembly line for Pilatus. Pilatus Aircraft USA Ltd. is launching a new PC-12 final assembly operation in Sarasota, Florida. To establish this operation successfully, we are seeking an experienced Production Material Coordinator to ensure upcoming work orders are materially ready and that shortages, blocked parts and supply risks are resolved before they affect assembly. The successful candidate will complete advanced, hands-on training within the established Pilatus material-management organization in Stans, Switzerland. Training will be completed during the initial 9 months of employment and will require international travel.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Three or more years of material control, production support, material planning, logistics or manufacturing coordination experience.
  • Working knowledge of MRP, production orders, bills of material, inventory, material status and shortage-management processes.
  • Experience with SAP, preferably SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (PP) and Materials Management (MM).
  • Strong Excel, analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to convert complex material information into clear actions and priorities.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to drive actions across Purchasing, Logistics, Production, Engineering and Quality.
  • Ability to work independently, follow issues through closure and manage competing priorities in a changing startup environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally for training and operational support.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace or another regulated, low-volume/high-complexity manufacturing environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate material availability for upcoming aircraft, work orders and assembly activities across defined readiness horizons.
  • Identify missing, blocked, incorrect or unavailable parts and maintain one accurate, prioritized shortage and material-readiness overview.
  • Coordinate shortage actions with Tactical Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Production Planning and Production, including clear owners and required dates.
  • Lead material-readiness and missing-parts meetings, follow up open actions and escalate risks that could affect the assembly schedule.
  • Verify that required material has been received, inspected, released, picked and made available at the correct point of use before work begins.
  • Monitor parts affected by quality issues, engineering or configuration changes, repairs, substitutions and inventory discrepancies until final resolution.
  • Support recovery plans by evaluating material constraints and communicating feasible material-availability dates to Production and Production Planning.
  • Act as the primary material-status contact for Production and provide timely, accurate answers regarding shortages, priorities and expected availability.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and reports covering work-order readiness, shortages by aircraft, shortage aging, blocked material and action closure.
  • Maintain material-status information, shortage records and relevant SAP transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support continuous-improvement activities related to material readiness, shortage management, information flow and production support.
  • Work with a high level of ownership, urgency and flexibility, particularly during assembly-line startup and ramp-up.
  • Perform other duties and support cross-functional projects as assigned.
