About The Position

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking to fill a Material Coordinator Position in Houston, TX. This is a contract opening responsible for dismantling and shipping skid frames, organizing and packing the collapsed frames and associated attachments/mounting brackets for return shipment. The role also involves supporting and contributing to the company Quality Policies and QMS.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse, material handling, assembly, disassembly, or packaging experience preferred.
  • Comfortable performing hands-on physical work.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
  • 1+ years of work experience in a materials / logistic – focus w/SAP
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Dismantle frames used to transport parts to manufacturer.
  • Disassemble and organize frame components, attachments, and mounting brackets.
  • Collapse frames for efficient return shipment.
  • Properly pack and secure frames and components for transportation.
  • Maintain an organized work area and ensure components are accounted for.
  • Follow established safety procedures and handling requirements.
  • Perform other general material handling duties as needed.
  • Count all in-house material daily and balance inventory system.
  • Investigate discrepancies immediately and resolve.
  • Record all rejects by supplier and part number.
  • Maintain and organize quarantine area, balance weekly.
  • Conduct ongoing audits of effectiveness of work being performed.
  • Return or dispose of material at an established period or at the end of the mission.
  • Coordinate new material arrival and timing of completion.
  • Demonstrates commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents.
  • Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies.
  • Ensures all site personnel receive corporate communications.
  • Monitor materials with regards to buffers being established and expedites being arranged.
  • Create and maintain a 6S working environment.
  • Assist with inquiries from internal and external staff; TRIGO and customer.
  • Provide all information to assist with quoting rework, standard pack, container and sub-container, and daily usage.
  • Update daily system entries in company and Customer portals.
  • Maintain Inventory current and up to date status.
  • Placing material orders on Quality Alerts, including prioritizing the material to be processed.
  • Assisting the Senior Lead and Supervisor in ordering supplies for the cage area.
  • Managing the movement of materials, including scanning and forklifting.
  • Communicating any inventory discrepancies to Senior Lead, Supervisor and the relevant Customer personnel.
  • Completing call down and demand reports daily.
  • Splitting rejected materials in the SAP system.
  • Processing the materials disposition and obtaining scrap authorization if required.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
