About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Material Coordinator for their Hanahan, SC location. This role involves coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between various buildings according to priorities set by the Facility Manager/Staff Engineer(s). The Material Coordinator will review production schedules, confer with Facilities Staff to determine material requirements, and arrange for the transfer of materials to meet production schedules. They will also examine materials to verify their type for current projects, compute the amount of material needed for specific job orders, and compile reports on the quantity and type of materials on hand. Additionally, they will coordinate with Facility Staff for the repair and assembly/installation of facility-unique materials, exercise care in the use of company equipment and tools, and observe all safety programs and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED equivalent and two (2) years of experience.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Tools (Word, Outlook and Excel in particular).
• Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
