About The Position

Gentex, a global technology company headquartered in Zeeland, Michigan, is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for maintaining Vision equipment through preventive maintenance, organizing the Vision lab, build area, remote office, and inventory. The technician will also assist Vision engineers and technicians with their duties. Requirements

• Basic PC skills are required.
• Must be available to work overtime as needed.
• Off shift and Weekend work is required.

• Degree-seeking preferred.
• Microsoft Office suite proficiency is preferred.
• Two years of Mechanical or Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Willingness to learn.
• Maximo knowledge preferred.
• Above average interpersonal skills and be a team player.
• Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform Vision equipment preventive maintenance in accordance with the maintenance schedule and defined procedures.
• Complete scheduled verifications of Vision equipment and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain and organize the Vision lab and build areas, developing systems for tidiness.
• Organize in-house Vision inventory, including mechanical components, electrical components, and Vision components.
• Support Vision Technician and Engineer groups with overflow work or projects.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, and promote a safe workplace.
• Maintain a high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
