Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent degree/certificate
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Experience working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems.
  • Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), Plumbing, Welding, Fabrication, docks and doors, security systems
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Trade School certified preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, production operators, and industrial technology preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide Support to production lines by troubleshooting failures and other issues and making necessary repairs to production and facility equipment to maximize efficiencies
  • Operate with technical skill the SAP Computerized Maintenance Management system to track inventory, complete all assigned work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and maintain production line operational excellence
  • Participate in rebuilds and overhauls on production line and support equipment
  • Assist with parts management by ensuring parts are checked out of stock and communicating any deficiencies to the Parts Planner
  • Provide consistent communication with fellow maintenance staff through End of Shift reports
  • Support the IWS (Integrated Work Systems) process by participating in established routines with production operators and following up on top causes of downtime
  • Follow established safety, quality and environmental policies, practices, and programs and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Install new equipment as necessary and provide technical expertise to train and support production with a continued desire for lean supply chain process initiatives and improvement
  • Quality reviews of equipment assigned to maintain safety and performance standards
