About The Position

Lampe & Malphrus Lumber is seeking a dependable and motivated Production Machine Operator to support lumber manufacturing. This hands-on role operates production equipment safely and efficiently, helps maintain a consistent workflow, ensures products meet specifications, and keeps the work area organized. The position is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, teamwork, productivity, attention to detail, and following established procedures are important. Requirements

Able to learn and operate production equipment and follow instructions and procedures.
Demonstrates attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and a team-oriented approach.
Able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and repetitive movements.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in varying seasonal conditions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in manufacturing, production, machine operation, or a related field; equivalent on-the-job training may be considered.
Lumber, industrial, manufacturing, or safety experience is an asset.
Bilingual communication skills are preferred to support clear coordination with coworkers.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn and work hard, and contribution to the team.
Ability to understand instructions, follow procedures, and consistently complete assigned tasks.
Sense of urgency and ability to work efficiently and stay productive throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

Operate production machinery safely and efficiently in a lumber manufacturing setting.
Inspect equipment before operation to confirm proper setup and alignment.
Monitor products for quality and ensure they meet established specifications and tolerances.
Maintain workflow throughout assigned production areas and communicate operational issues to the team.
Perform basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance within the scope of training.
Follow workplace safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements when applicable.
Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Assist with other production-related tasks as needed.
