About The Position

Grain Millers is seeking a Production Operator for its flax mill in Newton, Wisconsin. This full-time role supports milling operations by operating production equipment. No experience is necessary; employees learn the production equipment through a rotational training program. The position is on first shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with three-day weekends. Starting pay is $20 per hour, with an increase after the training period.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and good time-management skills.
Ability to work independently while communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.
Willingness to perform varying tasks as instructed by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery used in cleaning and handling specialty food ingredients.
Operate bagging equipment and a palletizer.
Frequently lift packaged products manually, up to 50 pounds.
Count finished products to determine whether product orders are complete.
Perform general plant and grounds sanitation.
Frequently lift and move equipment, chemical containers, and other materials throughout the workday.
Wear personal protective equipment in food-processing areas.
Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
