About The Position

PCL Graphics is an engineering house that specializes in printing, designing, fabricating, and producing large-format print and visual solutions for prominent retail, architectural, and signage brands across North America. The company is seeking a hands-on machine operator to join its growing day-shift production team. This role involves operating a range of equipment in the cutting and fabrication department, including a CNC router, laser cutter, and Summa vinyl cutter. The position requires flexibility as operators will move between different machines based on daily workload, necessitating comfort with learning new equipment and adapting to changing tasks.

Requirements

Technical and detail-oriented with the ability to read dockets, understand jobs, and identify potential issues before they result in scrap.
Reliable with consistent on-time attendance for all shifts.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
Ability to work at a steady and accurate pace, balancing speed with quality.
Open-minded and eager to learn, with a willingness to be cross-trained on multiple machines.
Experience in print, sign-making, fabrication, or CNC/cutting is considered an asset, but attitude and aptitude are prioritized.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret job dockets to understand production requirements, specifications, and desired outcomes.
Load sheets and substrates, set up machines, and execute clean and accurate cuts.
Transfer finished work to the appropriate stations to ensure continuous workflow.
Maintain a steady and productive pace to meet production targets while ensuring accuracy.
Handle each job with care to ensure quality and correctness.
Organize and maintain a safe and prepared work area for subsequent operations.
