Olympia is growing! As we prepare for increased customer demand and our busy season, we're expanding our manufacturing team. Join us as a Laser Machine Operator and work with advanced laser-cutting technology to create precision products in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where quality and craftsmanship matter. The laser machine operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of Olympia’s manufacturing needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school education or GED equivalent
• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, read a tape measure and convert fractions to decimals, with basic geometry skills being a plus
• Must be able to problem solve, manage time, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Great communication and organizational skills and extreme attention to detail and safety

Responsibilities

• Perform typical laser cutting operations
• Select proper cutting program
• Create proper set up for cutting
• Adjust laser beam focal point.
• Create nests and identify proper metals/thickness
• Perform prescribed maintenance as required
• Check dimensions for accuracy
• Perform all parts inspections.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions
• May work at different workstations as production needs require
