About The Position

JBS is seeking an hourly Production Lead 1st shift Team Member! This position starts at $24 per hour. The role involves leading a team of hourly team members to achieve business results in a safe and efficient manner, coordinating activities with various departments, supporting team members by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor, and fostering an engaged and team-oriented workforce. The Production Lead also provides support to company policies and procedures, creating an environment of concern and consistency, promoting cooperation and dedication to superior workmanship, providing training on policies and job-specific duties, monitoring and enforcing GMPs and specifications, maintaining high levels of sanitation, housekeeping, and product quality, following daily work schedules, and encouraging the best use of energy and resources with minimal waste. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazarded Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs.
Must be able to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example.
Must be able to coach, train, and take corrective action, including discipline, when appropriate.
Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and possess a problem-solving mentality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good math skills

Nice To Haves

SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification a plus.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
