1St Shift Production Lead (Beef) $24 Per Hour
About The Position
JBS is seeking an hourly Production Lead 1st shift Team Member! This position starts at $24 per hour. The role involves leading a team of hourly team members to achieve business results in a safe and efficient manner, coordinating activities with various departments, and supporting team members by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor. The Production Lead is also responsible for supporting company policies and procedures, creating an environment of concern and consistency, promoting cooperation, providing training, and monitoring adherence to GMPs and specifications. This role also involves maintaining high levels of sanitation, housekeeping, and product quality, following daily work schedules, and encouraging the best use of energy and resources with minimal waste. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazarded Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs.
- Must be able to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example.
- Must be able to coach, train, and take corrective action, including discipline, when appropriate.
- Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and possess a problem-solving mentality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good math skills
Nice To Haves
- SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Responsibilities
