About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position pays $20.00/hr A Shift: Sunday: 12 AM - 6 AM, 6 PM - Monday: 6 AM Monday: 6 PM - Tuesday: 6 AM Tuesday: 6 PM - Wednesday: 6 AM Production Lead Functions □ To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture □ Receive training as required □ Perform various positions as required/assigned Description This position is responsible for monitoring production throughout the processing phase and providing training for all new and existing team members while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 6 months industrial machine operator work experience in the last 24 months.
  • Further educational degree or certificate in a related field.
  • 6 months continuous employment with one employer within the past 12 months.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions.
  • Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio.
  • This position requires documented work experience in multiple areas of a rendering facility.
  • Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
  • If you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring production throughout the processing phase.
  • Providing training for all new and existing team members.
  • Perform various positions as required/assigned.
  • Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure hose logs.
  • Read and complete required logs.
  • Communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • May be required to operate frontend loader, manlift, or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so.
