About The Position

This position pays $17.90/hr. This is a General Production – A Shift role with specific shift hours: Sunday: 6 AM - 6 PM, Monday: 6 AM - 6 PM, Tuesday: 6 AM - 6 PM, Wednesday: 6 AM - 12 PM. The position is responsible for loading and/or bagging all finished outgoing product, inspecting trailers and tankers, collecting samples, completing and keeping documents, and working in the production area as assigned by a supervisor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role requires critical thinking, analytical skills, and strong interpersonal skills for collaboration. Specific operator experience is beneficial, and transferable skills from related fields are considered. Candidates must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

  • 6 months forklift/operator experience with one employer in the last 24 months
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Lifting to 50 pounds
  • Shoveling
  • Climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet
  • Bending, stretching, reaching
  • Working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
  • Able to use basic hand tools
  • Perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions
  • Able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Loading and/or bagging all finished outgoing product

  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • May be required to operate frontend loader or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so
