Production Lead (Marrero, LA)
About The Position
The Production Lead assists with day-to-day store operations and production performance to meet or exceed budget while following company standards, policies, and procedures. When assigned by the Store Manager or Production Manager, the Production Lead performs supervisory duties and may act in a supervisory capacity during scheduled work hours. The role focuses on meeting production and quality targets, processing donated goods for the sales floor, supporting and motivating employees and trainees, and maintaining a clean, safe store and back-room environment. The position may involve working at an attended donation center on an alternate schedule with no prior notice.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and six months of supervisory experience, or a minimum of 90 days in the service industry.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including nights and weekends, and occasionally long hours.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements when buttoning, sorting, hanging, and zipping garments.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and frequently bend, stoop, and stretch.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment with occasional periods of high volume.
- Must successfully complete Retail training.

Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day store operations and production performance to meet or exceed budget and comply with company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform supervisory duties when assigned by the Store Manager or Production Manager.
- Meet production guidelines of at least 110 garments per hour with a minimum quality standard of 90%.
- Ensure donated goods are properly processed and ready for the store floor.
- Serve as a positive role model for employees and trainees in professional performance.
- Produce donated goods in the back room and help create a positive public image through a clean store, attractive displays, and presentable, personable personnel.
- Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in the back-room area.
- Keep the store clean and free of hazards by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Follow personnel and safety policies and procedures and ensure Production Associates comply with them.
- Perform the duties of Production Associates.
- Attend regularly scheduled shifts assigned by the manager.
- Assist the Store Manager or Production Manager in achieving or exceeding monthly and annual production goals and implementing contingency plans when goals are not being met.
- Interact professionally and productively with a diverse range of people; market Goodwill and explain its mission to the public.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with store and production personnel and motivate them to perform at their best.
