About The Position

The Production Lead monitors linen processing, makes corrections as needed, and assists the Production Supervisor in operating the assigned department efficiently. The role coordinates production team activities, supports achievement of production goals, maintains the flow and quality of linen through the department, and helps ensure a safe and clean work area. The Production Lead may also complete customer inventory and perform other job-related duties requested by a supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Able to respond to verbal commands and effectively follow directions.
• Organized and attentive to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to understand and complete basic math.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to push carts loaded with linen weighing up to 700 pounds.
• May be required to bend, reach, and/or lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of warehouse or housekeeping experience.
• Multilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, monitor, and coordinate production team activities, with attention to individual and team achievement of established goals.
• Act as a liaison between team members and production management.
• Prioritize a safe working environment and help prevent accidents.
• Maintain a clean work area before and after shifts.
• Assist the supervisor in running the assigned department.
• Meet production standards.
• Ensure each bin leaving the department is of the highest quality possible.
• Maintain the flow of bins throughout the department.
• Place rewash bins in the correct department and segregate them by hotel.
• Keep sufficient linen available for machine processing.
• Complete customer inventory as needed.
• Lead and motivate team members.
• Participate in company health and safety programs and comply with OSHA policies and procedures and lawful safety rules.
• Use personal protective equipment as instructed and report hazardous conditions, work-related injuries, or illnesses to management.
• Perform other duties as requested by the immediate supervisor or management.
