About The Position

The 1st Shift Production Lead at Nucor Towers & Structures in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania, is a member of the facility leadership team who helps develop teammates and supports safe, efficient, high-quality production. The role monitors machine loading to maintain product flow throughout the department, oversees and trains teammates on the production line, and communicates production-related information to teammates and other departments. The lead establishes the pace of work and maintains line efficiency and quality. The position may also fill in for other line roles and for the Supervisor as needed. Safety is the most important part of all Nucor jobs, and the employee must initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

Competence with Microsoft Office software programs.
At least 6 months of experience in steel manufacturing.
Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of operations processes and procedures.
Previous leadership experience.

Responsibilities
