About The Position

Nucor Towers & Structures is seeking a creative, forward-thinking, process-minded, and effective communicator to join its team as a Buyer. The Buyer is responsible for placing orders and refining processes and procedures in support of procurement initiatives, including MRO, capital projects, raw materials, and outside processing. The position serves as the business unit subject matter expert in support of a new ERP system and purchasing transactions, reporting, and analysis.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher.
• At least 2 years of experience as a buyer or in a supply chain role.
• Ability to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience improving or implementing processes or tools.
• Logistics experience.
• Ability to interact well with internal and external customers.
