About The Position

This role involves leading production processes and procedures, supervising and instructing subordinate production staff under the guidance of the Production Supervisor. The Production Lead will assist in preparing for production by testing equipment, setting up parameters, and ensuring proper production flow. Key responsibilities include monitoring processes to ensure product quality and specifications are met, taking corrective actions, and reporting inconsistencies. The role also involves filling in for subordinates, providing backup for the Production Supervisor, and assisting in training and development of employees. Collaboration with other employees and department leads is essential to meet production goals and standards. Troubleshooting mechanical issues and assisting in the collection and processing of production data are also part of the role. Related duties may be performed if trained or qualified.

  • Ability to trouble-shoot mechanical problems on the production line.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production processes and procedures.

  • Constantly monitor processes and procedures during production, ensuring product quality and specifications are met.
  • Take necessary corrective actions when possible and promptly report inconsistencies to the Supervisor.
  • Fill in for subordinates when needed.
  • Provide backup for Production Supervisor of the department/area.
  • Assist in training and development of new and current employees of the department/area.
  • Work with production employees and other department leads to ensure production goals and standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues when possible.
  • Assist in collection and processing of various production data.
  • Perform related duties as required if trained or qualified to do.
