2ND SHIFT PRODUCTION LEAD- (BEEF) $24 PER HOUR PLUS $1 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
About The Position
JBS is seeking an hourly Production Lead for the second shift in beef production. The position starts at $24 per hour, with a $1 shift differential. The Production Lead guides hourly team members to achieve business results safely and efficiently, coordinates work across production and supporting departments, and maintains a visible presence on the production floor. The role also supports company policies and procedures, trains team members, promotes cooperation and quality workmanship, and helps maintain sanitation, housekeeping, product quality, and efficient use of resources.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs.
- Ability to motivate a diverse workforce and lead by example.
- Ability to coach and train team members and take corrective action, including discipline, when appropriate.
- Critical-thinking skills and a problem-solving mentality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good math skills.
Nice To Haves
- SQF, GMP, and HACCP certification.
- Bilingual Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Lead hourly team members to achieve business results and targets safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate activities with production, procurement, maintenance, warehouse, and quality departments to achieve and sustain results.
- Support team members by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor and maintaining an engaged, team-oriented workforce.
- Promote consistent and considerate treatment of team members, cooperation, and dedication to superior workmanship.
- Train team members on company policies, rules, regulations, and job-specific duties and responsibilities.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to GMPs and specifications, while maintaining sanitation, housekeeping, and product quality.
- Follow the daily work schedule and report variances.
- Encourage effective use of energy and resources with minimal waste.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
