About The Position

Production Leads are needed for 1st and 3rd shifts. The pay ranges from $19.80 - $20.60 per hour, depending on the department, with an additional $2.00 per hour for the night shift differential. Candidates must have experience in case-ready department positions and be willing to work all scheduled hours. Attendance is critical, with a maximum of 3.5 attendance points allowed (exceeding this will result in demotion). Additionally, candidates must not have any disciplinary write-ups in the past 6 months. Bilingual skills are desired. The role requires the ability to perform simple math and essential functions with or without accommodations. The position involves training and retraining employees, promoting job rotation, and assisting management with employee placement, assessment of controls, gathering information, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring good communication regarding production and written records. The role also supports employees by administering short breaks, maintaining the work area, and explaining company policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in case ready department positions.
  • Willingness to work all hours scheduled.
  • No more than 3.5 attendance points (will be demoted if 3.5 is exceeded).
  • No disciplinary write-ups in the past 6 months.
  • Capable of performing simple math.
  • Able to perform the following essential functions with or without accommodations: Repetitive motion includes full extension of arms to shoulder height. Repetitive elbow, wrist, hand and finger motion. Must be able to lift a maximum 90 lbs. not less than 30 times per 4.5-hour period from floor level to a maximum height of 6 feet. Job includes standing for at least 4.5 hours within a work area, or walking distances longer than 100 feet covering an area that exceeds 45,000 square feet. Must withstand a damp work area with a temperature range of 40 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit for a period of 10 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Train and retrain employees, promoting job rotation.
  • Assist Management in employee placement, assessment of controls, gathering information, maintaining quality standards, and maintaining good communication concerning production and written records.
  • Assist Employees in administering short breaks, maintaining work area and good communications concerning production, and explaining company policy-procedure.
  • Explain and demonstrate skills of job to the employee, repeat as needed.
  • Allow employee to try the new job, make necessary corrections and allow the employee to try again.
  • Build line speed and confidence of employee.
  • Train employee in policies and procedures.
