About The Position

The Production Lead I guides and trains production employees and coordinates quality checks on an assigned production line. The role directs 12–40 employees, assigns plant operations during the shift, helps meet production schedules, and maintains employee and product safety. It also involves monitoring usage and paperwork and supporting production and quality standards. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime and weekend work noted. The work takes place in a plant environment and involves frequent standing, walking, and stair climbing, as well as frequently lifting up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Fundamental understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Ability to follow up, be punctual and outgoing, communicate and work well with others in a plant environment, and successfully multitask.
Self-motivated, personable, influential, and organized.
Able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
Able to lift 20 pounds frequently.
Must be legally authorized to work in the location; work authorization sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency with the MS Office Suite and SAP is preferred.
