About The Position

MKB Company is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Production Laborer to manufacture stormwater erosion-control products. The role uses machinery and equipment to produce high-quality products and requires careful, safe operation, fine motor skills, teamwork, and attention to productivity. The Laborer works with the Production Lead to meet daily production goals and may perform other duties as assigned.

The position involves handling parts that may be large and awkwardly shaped, maintaining equipment and facilities, completing production paperwork, and following safety rules and PPE requirements. Work may take place outdoors in varying weather and around moving machinery, noise, dust, vibration, and wet or humid conditions. The schedule may include shift work, nights, weekends, variable hours, and additional hours as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Ability to work various hours, including shift work.
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Initiative in carrying out responsibilities.
• Ability to ambulate around the site.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and precise control (fine motor skills).
• Ability to operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including lifting up to 50–100 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of heavy-equipment experience.
• Prior experience with hand tools.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, chain saws, and other specialized tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform production tasks while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist the Production Lead in meeting or exceeding daily production goals.
• Set production-line balance and speed.
• Load and unload parts into manufacturing equipment; parts may be large and awkwardly shaped.
• Perform pre-shift and end-of-shift equipment checks and maintenance.
• Keep facilities and equipment clean and maintained.
• Follow yard rules, safety regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Participate in safety briefings, job briefings, and other meetings as required by the Manager.
• Pass on information from team members, management, or customers.
• Accurately complete required paperwork.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
