Production Lab Tech - Manufacturing (3-DAY SHIFTS +differential!)

About The Position

Production Lab Techs perform a variety of duties based on their assigned department and laboratory needs. They help expedite job orders through the manufacturing process in a timely and efficient manner to serve customers. Work includes observing job-order data, sorting and organizing job orders, RF scanning, and other department-specific tasks. Production roles are available in Surface, AR, Finish, and Shipping departments. Full-time night shifts are available, working three days per week with four days off: Sundays through Tuesdays or Wednesdays through Fridays, from 3:30 pm to 4:00 am. Starting pay is $17.05 for entry-level employees, including a 10% shift differential, with additional biweekly bonus opportunities.

Nice To Haves

Prior mass production, machine operation, or assembly experience is preferred.
Prior related or optical experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Observe data on job orders.
Sort and organize job orders.
Use RF scanning equipment and perform other department-specific tasks.
Surface: Operate machines; wash lenses and perform backside coating and machine loading; perform blocking and deblocking.
AR: Sort, clean, and inspect lenses; use an ultrasonic cleaner; load lenses in sectors and machines; remove and return lenses to job trays; visually inspect lenses; operate and clean the AR coating machine; sandblast sectors and panels.
Finish: Sort trays; edge and bevel lenses; tint lenses to specified colors; mount lenses by inserting them into frames; clean and visually inspect mounted lenses.
Final inspection: Check lenses for defects, correct power, axis, and prism, and compliance with ANSI standards.
Shipping: Scan, bag, sort, and prepare customer orders.
